As men, we must wear many hats. We are fathers and husbands, workers and bosses, friends and neighbors. But we are also churchmen. Called by God to serve in the local church. Our goal for the Men's Ministry here at Lighthouse is to provide a place where we can gather together to encourage and challenge one another in our pursuit of God. A safe place where we can let down our guards a bit. Where we can study God's Word together and pray for one another that we might grow "...to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..." (Eph 4:13)
We have several men's breakfasts throughout the year, host our annual Football Night Outreach, and partner with Compassion Network in providing labor for local community projects.
Men's Bible Study
As part of our Wednesday night "Everybody In" ministry, there is a weekly Bible study for the men. The study centers around a particular book of the Bible or uses a topical book or study guide. In the recent past we have studied "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer, the Gospel of Mark, and "The Gospel for Real Life" by Jerry Bridges.
Currently, we are studying the Book of Acts as part of the Sunday Morning sermon series taught by Pastor Ken. Each Wednesday night, we gather to discuss the message using study questions handed out on Sunday. It has been a rich study with lots of great discussion. We would love to have you join us each Wednesday!
"Everybody In" begins at 7:00 pm each Wednesday night with a time of worship led by our college-age Revolution Band in the church sanctuary followed by the various Bible study groups which conclude at 8:30 pm.
